Hans Meyer

     Hans Meyer was born circa 1680.1 He was the son of Jacob Meyer. Hans Meyer may have been the Mennonite Hans Meyer who lived between 1717 and 1724 in Langenzell, Baden, Germany, and next to Christian Meyer.1 He purchased 216 acres of land, next to the lands of Derrick Johnson and of Christian Meyer, from Isaac Pennington and Casper Wister Skippack Township, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, on 23 July 1729.2,3 He was taxed on 150 acres of land in 1734 in Salford Township, Philadelphia County, now Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.1 He was a farmer.4 He lived in Skippack Township, Philadelphia County, now Upper Salford Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.4 He was a Mennonite.4 He died circa 1748 in Upper Salford Township, Philadelphia County, presently Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.1,5
