     John Landis was born circa 1692 in Switzerland.1 John was the possible if not probable son of Rudolph Landes.2 John Landis was the son of Rudolph Landes. John Landis was also known as Johannes Landis.2 He married Ann Musselman. John Landis immigrated in 1721 or 1722 to Pennsylvania.3 He signed a petition asking for the formation of the Township of Richland from Milford Township in 1730.3 He purchased from William Allen 125 acres of land nextt to the land of Jacob Musselman in Richland Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, on 21 December 1743.3 He left a will on 26 September 1747.3 He died in 1751 in Lower Milford Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.3 His estate was probated on 1 May 1751.3

     Ann Musselman was born circa 1695.1 She married John Landis, son of Rudolph Landes. Ann Musselman died after 1748 probably in Earl Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.1

Veronica Landis

     Veronica Landis was also known as Fronica. She was born circa 1716.1 She was the daughter of John Landis and Ann Musselman. Veronica Landis married Michael Bauer, son of Hans Bauer and Anne (?), circa 1744.2 Veronica Landis and Michael lived in Hereford, Berks County, Pennsylvania. This was his address the last 25 years of his life, but he lived on what was his father's homestead his entire life. Before 1752 this land was in Philadelphia County, and before 1754 it was in Colebrookdale Township.3 Veronica Landis and Michael Bauer sold for £175 seventy-five acres, their share of the family homestead in Hereford Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, on 7 July 1784 to their son-in-law Christian Meyer.4 Veronica Landis died circa 1823.1 She was buried in Hereford Mennonite Cemetery, Bally, Washington Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
