Melchior Reinwald

Melchior Reinwald was the probable and almost certainly the father of Judith Reinwald. Brecht's Genealogical Record, which provides most of the information concerning the Schwenkfelder genealogies, declares that Judith is the daughter of Melchior on page 886. However it also declares she is the daughter of George Reinwald and his wife Barbara on page 414. An analysis of the claims, which conclusion I agree with, was presented by Jerry Heebner

There was no clergyman or judicial official present, there being no Schwenkfeldian clergyman at that time. They pledged their vows before witnesses who committed the facts of the ceremony to paper. George Weiss, Melchior Kriebel, George Reinewald and David Seibt were the witnesses.3 Christopher Reinwald and Susanna lived in Towamencin Township, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.4 Christopher Reinwald and David Seibt were naturalized between 10 April 1743 and 13 April 1743 in the Supreme Court, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. They affirmed the oath, under the provisions made for Quakers.5,6 Christopher Reinwald died suddenly and unexpectantly on 14 January 1770 at age 67 years.
