     Abraham Stauffer was born on 13 October 1775.1 He was the son of Mathias Stauffer and Anna Clemens. Abraham Stauffer married Catharine Hackman.1 Abraham Stauffer died on 27 January 1838 at age 62 years, 3 months and 14 days.1 He was also reported to have died on 27 June 1838.2

Catharine Hackman

     Catharine Hackman was born on 16 June 1789.1 She married Abraham Stauffer, son of Mathias Stauffer and Anna Clemens.1 Catharine Hackman died on 3 August 1863 at age 74 years, 1 month and 18 days.1

Henry Pawling

     Henry Pawling was born probably in Marbletown, Ulster County, New York.1 He was the son of John Pawling and Aagje De Witt. In 1734 his name was also recorded as Henry Pawling junr.2
     Henry Pawling had an advertisement published in the Pennsylvania Gazette 4 December 1735 which showed a certain progressiveness for his day. It read:

THERE has been ever since March last, about the Plantation of Henry Pawlin, junior, in Perkiomun, a flea bitten Mare branded S T upon the near Shoulder, with a reddish Spot upon her Flank, and a Bell above the Neck; she is about 13 Hands high, and has now a young Colt with her. Whoever owns her, is desired to come and fetch her, and pay the Charges. Henry Pawlin, jun.
An almost identical advertisement appeared a week later. It is unknown if the owner was found.3,4
He married secondly, Mary Hicks, daughter of Nicholas Hicks, before 6 September 1749.5 Henry Pawling left a will on 31 December 1762.6 His estate was probated on 19 April 1763 in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.6

John Wenzel

     John was born in Denmark on 11 March 1855. There is one record, the 1900 census, which records his birthplace as Germany.2,3,4,1 He was the son of John Wenzel.1 John Wenzel emigrated in 1873 from Denmark.5 He married Eleonore Christine Zerakilzky, daughter of Jörgen Zerakitzky and Johanne Lauridsen.6 John Wenzel and Eleonore resided close to the county line, southwest of and near to Shiloh, Kearney County, Nebraska, in 1889.7 John Wenzel was a farmer.1 He died at 3:10 p.m. on 13 September 1920 in his home, Village of Holstein, Kearney County, Nebraska, at age 65 years, 6 months and 2 days.3,8,1 (see also for an image of his death certificate.) The cause of John's death was lerebral henwrshayk?1 He was buried on 15 September 1920 in Shiloh Church Cemetery, Wanda Township, Adams County, Nebraska.3,1 His obituary appeared in the Adams County Democrat on 20 September 1920. It read: John Wenzel, an old settler, died at his home southwest of town, near Shiloh, Monday, Sept. 13, 1920, after an illness of only a short time. He was born in Denmark, March 11, 1855. He came to Nebraska in 1889 and settled close to the Kearney county line where he has always lived. His wife died two years ago last May. He leaves three children, Frank, who lives on the home place, Charles residing near Denver and also a daughter living in Colorado. He was buried in Kenesaw cemetery.9 He appeared in the census enumerated on 1900 in May, Kearney County, Nebraska.10 He appeared in the census enumerated on 1910 in May, Kearney County, Nebraska.
