     Laura Jane Yeager was born on 18 February 1869 in Upper Providence Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.1,2 She was the daughter of Peter Yeager and Faithful Hipple. Laura Jane Yeager married Josiah S. Halteman, son of Moses S. Halteman and Almira Schultz. Laura Jane Yeager died at 10:25 pm on 27 June 1937 in Pottstown Hospital, Pottstown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, at age 68 years, 4 months and 9 days.1 The cause of Laura's death was right henriplegia myocardial failure, which had an onset commencing on June 19th, and with a contributory causes of clinical hypertension and chronic diabetes.1 Her obituary appeared The Pottstown Mercury in Pottstown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, on 29 June 1937. It read:
     LAURA J. (YEAGER) HALTEMAN, wife of Josiah S. Halteman, 132 Second Avenue, ROYERSFORD, died in Pottstown hospital yesterday, aged 68 years, 4 months and 9 days. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Faithful (Hipple) Yeager.
Her survivors include her husband; a son, Orion E. Kline, Gladwynn; a daughter, Florence, wife of Harry M. Witman, Wernersville; two stepsons, Ellsworth Halteman and Eugene Halteman, Royersford; a stepdaughter, Edith, wife of Earl H. Strouse, Pottstown; and two brothers, Frank Yeager, Norfolk, Va., and James Yeager, Pennsburg.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from her late home, with all services at the house. Internment will be made in Fernwood cemetery, Royersford.
Arrangements are in charge of Funeral Director C. Norman Lamm, Wernersville.
A death notice appeared in the same newspaper at that time, and it read: HALTEMAN---In Pottstown, the 28th inst. 1937, Laura J. Halteman, wife of Joshia Halteman, aged 68 years, 4 months and 9 days. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from her late residence, 132 Second avenue, Royersford, on Friday, July 2, at 2 p.m. DST. Friends may call at the late residence Thursday evening from 7 to 8:30 o'clock. Internment Fernwood cemetery, Royersford.3 She was buried on 2 July 1937 in Fernwood Cemetery, Walnut Road, Royersford, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.4,5 Laura was listed as Josiah S. Halteman's wife on the 1930 Census in 135 Second Avenue, Royersford, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. She was recorded as being a 60-year-old married white female born in Pennsylvania to parents both of whom were born in Pennsylvania. She was 17 years old at her first marriage. She could speak English, read and write.6.

Christian Schowalter was an Amish man living in Mechtersheim, Bayern, Pfalz, in 1743.1 He arrived in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, on 15 September 1749 on the ship Phoenix, with a group of Mennonites and Amish.1 He was taxed living next to Jacob Sensenig and Michael Sensenig in 1750 in Earl Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.1 He was taxed living next to Jacob Showalter and freeman John Showlter in 1769 in Earl Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.1 He died in 1799 in Earl Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.1
