Mary Haldeman

     Mary Haldeman was a Mennonite. She was born circa 1714.1 She was the daughter of Nicholas Haldeman and Mary (?) Mary Haldeman immigrated with Nicholas Haldeman and Mary (?) before 1727 to Pennsylvania. Mary Haldeman possibly married Jacob Schweitzer, son of Hans Schweitzer and Elizabeth (?).2 Mary Haldeman married John Souder.3 Mary Haldeman and John lived after 1758 in Coventry Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.4 Mary Haldeman left a will on 15 May 1806. She named her son-in-law, Rev. Johannes Hoch of Coventry Township, Chester County, as her executor. She divided her estate into eight parts, leaving a part to each of her seven surviving children, and one part to the children of her deceased daughter, Mary.5 Mary Haldeman died probably in 1806 in Chester County, Pennsylvania.6,1 Her estate was probated on 3 November 1806.4

     Magdalena Haldeman was born. She was the daughter of Nicholas Haldeman and Mary (?) Magdalena Haldeman immigrated with Nicholas Haldeman and Mary (?) before 1727 to Pennsylvania. Magdalena Haldeman married John Krey Jr., son of John Krey and Sytge Updegrave. Magdalena Haldeman and John lived in 1741 in Skippack Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.1 Magdalena Haldeman and John lived by 1749 in Coventry Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, near Nicholas Haldeman.2 Magdalena Haldeman was bonded as the executrix of the estate of John Krey Jr. on 21 May 1750 to his widow Magdalena and Christopher Haldeman.3 Magdalena Haldeman married Jacob Wanger, son of Heinrich Wenger and Elizabeth Blum, after 1751 in Berks County, Pennsylvania.4,5 Magdalena Haldeman and Jacob lived in Douglass Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania.4

     Jacob Schweitzer was born circa 1720.1 He was the son of Hans Schweitzer and Elizabeth (?) Jacob Schweitzer possibly married Mary Haldeman, daughter of Nicholas Haldeman and Mary (?).2 Jacob Schweitzer left a will on 21 February 1746. It named Christian Bower and Christopher Holteman as his executors.3 He died in 1746 in Coventry Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.4 His estate was probated on 11 March 1746.5

He married Mary Haldeman, daughter of Nicholas Haldeman and Mary (?).1 John Souder purchased 76 acres of land adjacent the farm of Nicholas Haldeman Coventry Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, in 1756.2 John Souder and Mary lived after 1758 in Coventry Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.3 John Souder died in 1803 in Coventry Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.4

     John Krey Jr. was born in 1717. He was the son of John Krey and Sytge Updegrave. John Krey Jr. married Magdalena Haldeman, daughter of Nicholas Haldeman and Mary (?). John Krey Jr. and Magdalena lived in 1741 in Skippack Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.1 John Krey Jr. and Magdalena lived by 1749 in Coventry Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, near Nicholas Haldeman.2 John Krey Jr. died in 1750 in Coventry Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, at age 33 years.3 An administration bond on the estate of John Krey Jr. was issued on 21 May 1750 to his widow Magdalena and Christopher Haldeman.4 John Krey Jr. brought 88 acres of land in Leacock Township, Lancaster County from the estate of his brother Peter before 1 March 1757 and after 07 December 1756 for the sum of £381.5

Jacob Wanger

     Jacob Wanger was born. He was the son of Heinrich Wenger and Elizabeth Blum. Jacob Wanger married Magdalena Haldeman, daughter of Nicholas Haldeman and Mary (?), after 1751 in Berks County, Pennsylvania.1,2 Jacob Wanger and Magdalena lived in Douglass Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania.1 Jacob Wanger purchased from the estate of John Potts, Esq. of Philadelphia, his son Samuel Potts as executor, for £690 total, 200 acres of land in Pine Lands, Pennsylvania, on 2 November 1768. The money was to be paid, the first £200 on 27 November 1769, and the rest in five annual payments (£158 each) beginning on 27 May 1769.3 He was said to have purchased the land John Krey Jr. had taken a warrant out on in 1749, but he did not. He left a will on 24 March 1777 in which he named Christopher Haldeman as one of the executors.4 Jacob Wanger died in January 1782 in Douglas Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania.5 His estate was probated on 19 January 1782.4

Magdalena Halderman married Jacob Halderman, son of Michael Haldeman Jr. and Sarah (?), circa 1771.1 Magdalena Halderman died on 23 June 1799 in Coventry Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, at age 48 years.1 She was buried in Coventry Mennonite Churchyard, Coventry Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.2
