     Otilia Metteline Marie Zerakilzky was also known as Artella M Zerakitsky.4,5 She was born on 14 May 1872 in Ensig, Skjern sogn, Bølling, Ringkøbing, Denmark.6,7,8,9,10,11 She was the daughter of Jörgen Zerakitzky and Johanne Lauridsen.2,3 Otilia Metteline Marie Zerakilzky was confirmed on 11 April 1886 in the church, Skjern, Bølling, Ringkøbing, Denmark, at age 13 years, 10 months and 28 days.12 She emigrated in 1891 from Denmark.13 She married Hans Peter Peterson circa 1892. Otilia Metteline Marie Peterson and Hans lived in 1911 in Pleasantville, Atlantic County, New Jersey.14
     There was a feud between Tilly and my great-grandmother. Bad blood existed between them, but nobody seems to know why. The origins of the conflict is unknown to me. Members of the family were advised not to have much to do with one another. Her niece, my grandmother, Johanna Thomsen, once paid her a visit, during which she fall on the sidewalk and broke her leg. Grandmom did not receive much sympathy, but was criticized for visiting her aunt.15

Mrs. Tillie Peterson, wife of Peter Peterson, foreman of the Lake and Risely Lumber Yard, Pleasantville, died suddenly at her home yesterday afternoon of apoplexy. She was 65 years old and was born in Denmark.
Apparently well on Saturday, Mrs. Peterson went to the movies in the evening and returned home to be stricken early in the morning. She resided at 54 Lenox av.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Walter Peterson, of Hollywood, Calif., and Clarence and Harold Peterson, of Pleasantville.
Mrs. Peterson had been in Pleasantville for more than 20 years and had come to this country when she was 11 years old.20 Her death notice appeared in The Atlantic City Press, Pleasantville, Atlantic County, New Jersey, on 20 April 1937. It read: PETERSON--Suddenly in Pleasantville, N.J., April 18, 1937. OTTILLIE M., wife of Hans P. Peterson, age 54 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at Parsels & Sons Funeral Home, 18 W. Washington av., Wednesday, April 21, at 2 p. m. Internment Laurel Memorial Park Cemetery.      Otilia Metteline Marie Zerakilzky appeared on the census enumerated on 3 June 1905 at 5 Kentucky Avenue, Atlantic City, Atlantic County, New Jersey, in the household of Hans Peter Peterson. Artella was recorded as a 33-year-old white married female born in May 1872 in Denmark. Both of her parents were also recorded as born in Denmark. Likewise, she could speak English, read and write, and it indicates she accompied Hanly to the United States24.25 Otilia Metteline Marie Zerakilzky appeared on the census enumerated in June 1915 at 51 Washington Avenue, Pleasantville, Atlantic County, New Jersey, in the household of Hans Peter Peterson. Tillie was listed with the middle initial of M and recorded as a 43-year-old white married female born in May 1872 in Denmark. Both of her parents were recorded as born in Denmark. She was a housewife who could speak English, read and write26.27 Otilia Metteline Marie Zerakilzky appeared in the census enumerated on 8 January 1920 in 47 Washington Avenue, Pleasantville, Atlantic County, New Jersey, as the wife of the head of the household.16 She appeared in the census enumerated on 4 April 1930 in 54 Lennox Avenue, Pleasantville, Atlantic County, New Jersey, as the wife of the head of the household. She was recorded with her nickname as a 56-year-old married white female who was born in Denmark to parents both of whom were born in Denmark. The language spoken in her home before she came to the United States was Danish. She was 22-years-old at the time of her first marriage. He was able to read and write and had not attended school since September 1929. She had immigrated to the United States in 1891, and she was naturalized as an United States citizen. She was able to speak English. Her occupation was recorded as "none"13.
