     Christian Haldeman was born before 1715 in Germany or Switzerland.1 He immigrated with Nicholas Haldeman and Mary (?) before 1727 to Pennsylvania. Christian Haldeman married Catherine Krey, daughter of John Krey and Sytge Updegrave.1
      Christian Haldeman purchased land near his parents' homestead in Salford Township, now Lower Salford Township, Philadelphia County now Montgomery County, Pennsylvania in 1735, and he lived there until his death.2 He was a farmer. He and Catherine lived between 1735 and 1800 in Lower Salford Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.3 Christian Haldeman sold the land to Jacob Wagener on 5 December 1799.4 He was naturalized at the same time as his father Nicholas Haldeman on 11 April 1743 in Supreme Court, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.5,6 Christian Haldeman died on 23 November 1800 in Lower Salford Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.3 He was buried in Lower Salford Mennonite Meetinghouse, Salford, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.3
