     Rev. Martin Kolb was born in 1680.1,2 He married Maria Magdalena Van Sintern, daughter of Isaac Van Sintern and Neeltje Claessen, on 19 May 1709.3,2,4 Rev. Martin Kolb and Maria lived in 1709 in Skippack Township, Philadelphia County, now Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.1 Rev. Martin Kolb was ordained a minister in the Mennonite Church in Skippack Township, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.1 He owned 200 acres of real property in 1734 in Parkiomen & Skippake Township, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, according to a return of the constables.5 He and Maria lived in 1749 in Skippack & Perkimong Township, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.6 Rev. Martin Kolb left a will on 12 June 1749.6 The transcript of the Will read:

I Martin Kolb of the Township of Sckipack & Perkimoing in the County of Philada. in the province of Pennsylvania yeoman being at present in Sound and perfect health and memory blessed be the Lord for the same & all his other Mercies but Calling to mind the Uncertainly of this Transitory life? and willing to Settle my worldly affairs before it Shall please God to visit me with Sickness I do hereby make this my last Will & Testament in Maner and form following that is to say
first of all I Recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God and to the Mercies & merits

of Jesus Christ my redeemer and my body to the Earth to be buried in a Christian like and desent manner at the discretion of my Executors herein after mentioned and touching my worldly affairs and Estate wherewith it hath pleased the Lord to bless my endeavors I Will and dispose of the same as follows Imprimis it is my Will & I do order that all my just debts and funeral Expences shall be fully paid and Satisfied.
Item it is my Will And I give & bequeath unto my dear beloved Wife Magdalena the sum of one hundred and forty pounds of lawful money of Pennsylvania to be paid unto her out of my Estate within one month next after my decease and I do further I give unto my sd. wife during her life and for her use the new part of my dwelling house to wit the room and Kitchen and so much Celler barrel and Yard Room and of Orchard fruit & firewood and the use of a horse to be kept by my Son Issac as She shall have Occasion for. As Also a Cow which my sd. son Isaac shall feed & keep of his own fodder with his own cow for her only Use and I give further unto my sd. Wife all my Household goods whatsoever.
Item. it is my Will and I give and devise unto my son Isaack all of my Plantation of mine being about Two hundred & thirty acres in the sd. Township of Scippack and Perkiomyng which I at Sundry Times purchased of Mathias vonbebler, James Steel, Nicholas Scull and Ludwig Sprogell
To have and to hold the sd. two hundred and thirty acres of Land together with the appurtenances unto my sd. son Isaac Kolb His Heirs and Assigns for Ever in Consideration whereof my said son Isaac shall after my Decease pay the sum of Three hundred pounds Lawful money in such manner & for such uses as hereunafter Expressed that is to say--
as touching the said sum of three hundred pounds or so much as shall be left unpaid at the time of my decease and what is due unto me by my Son Dilman Kolb
And all the remainder of my Estate not otherwise disposed of It is my Will and I give the same unto my Children Dielman Kolb, Isaac Kolb and to my five daughters Magdalena Bechtell, Cornelia (detweiler), Sarah Rittenhouse, Mary fried, and Hannah Kalb share and share alike in equal shares & portions onely Excepting my said Daughter Hannah unto whom I give the sum of fifteen pounds over and besides her equal share so that so much of my sd. Estate, my Wife being first paid, shall be paid unto each of my sd five Daughters that each of them (within the space of two years next after my decease shall have received the sum of Fifty pounds including what shall appear they have recd. all ready.
And the remainder of all my Estate (as well as what my Wife may leave at the time of her Decease) shall within one year next after my sd. Wifes Decease be so Equally divided amongst them.

all my Children. And if my sd. daughter Hannah should die in her minority then her sd. Share shall also be equally divided between my surviving Childen in Equall Share and portions aforesd. And I hereby Nominate and Constitute my sd. dear beloved Wife Magdalena & my Son Dielman Kolb to be the Executors of this my Last Will and Testament. And I do hereby revoke disannull and declare void all former and other Wills and Testaments by me heretofore made hereby ratifying and declaring this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament.
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the twelfth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & forty nine.

Ziegler and Michael Ziegler, tewo of the witnesses to the foregoing Will and on their Solemn affirmation according to law did declare they saw and heard Martin Kolb the Testator therein named Sign Seal publish and declare the same Will for and as his last Will & Testament and that at the doing thereof he was of Sound mind memory & Understanding to the best of their Knowledge.

Be it Remembered that on the 17th day of Novr 1761 the Last Will & Testament of Martin Kolb in due form of law was proved & probate and Lttrs. Testamentary were granted to Dielman Kolb and Magdalena (renounced) Excers. in the sd. Will named being Solemnly affirmed well and truely to Administer the deceaseds Estate & bring an Inventory thereof into the Register general's office at or before the 17th Decr. next and render a true account when required. Given under the seal of this office (SEAL)
Wm. Plumsted Reg. Genl. He was the pastor of the Mennonite Church in Germantown Township, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.2,1 He died in 1761 at age 81 years.1,2 He was buried in Lower Skippack Mennonite Cemetery, Skippack, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.7 Martin's will was probated in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, on 17 November 1761.8

     Maria Magdalena Van Sintern was born circa 1688.1 She married Rev. Martin Kolb, son of Dielmann Kolb and Agnes Schumacher, on 19 May 1709.1,2,3 As of 1709, her married name was Kolb.4 Maria Magdalena Van Sintern and Martin lived in 1709 in Skippack Township, Philadelphia County, now Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.5 Maria Magdalena Kolb and Martin lived in 1749 in Skippack & Perkimong Township, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.6 Maria Magdalena Kolb was named the executrix of Rev. Martin Kolb's estate, but she renounced the office on 17 November 1761 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.7 Maria Magdalena Kolb was buried in Lower Skippack Mennonite Cemetery, Skippack, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.8
