Anna Hoffman was born in 1712.1 She married George Scholtze, son of Balthasar Scholtze and Susanna Dietrich, in the presence of witnesses and elders on 3 May 1737.2 As of 3 May 1737, her married name was Scholtze.2 Her married name was Schultz. Anna Hoffman and George lived in 1737 on a farm, Upper Hanover Township, Philadelphia County, now Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.3,2,4,5 She made a will on 22 January 1795.6 The transcript of the Will read:
In the Name of God, Amen. I Anna Schultz of Upper Hanover Township in the County of Montgomery & state of Pennsylvania Widow and relict of George Schultz late of the same place Yeoman deceased being of old Age but of sound mind and memory blefsed be god and bringing to mind the mortality of my Body do make this my last will & Testament Concerning my wordly Estate wherewith the lord hath blefsed me this Twenty second day of January in the Year of Our lord one thousand seven hundred & Ninety five vizt First it is my Will that all my just debts & funeral Charges shall be paid off. And I give and bequeath to my eldest son Balthaser Schultz the sum of twenty pounds specie Money and further I do will & Order that after my decease when the said twenty pounds are paid off all my remaining Property or Estate shall be devided in five equal Shares or portions One equal fifths share of the same I give to the said my eldest Son Balthaser Schultz another equal fifths share of my Estate I give to my second son ChristG Schultz another equal fifths share of the same I give to my youngest Son Gregory Schultz. Another equal fifths share of the same I give to my eldest Daughter Suzanna Krieble wife of Abraham Kriebel of Towamencin and the remaining equal fifths share of the same I give thirty pounds thereof to my beloved son in law Abraham Drisher of Towamencin aforesaid and the remaining part of such equal fifths share of my Estate I give to the Children of the Body of my Youngest Daughter Eve Dreshey deceasd into equal shares & portions between them. Unto each of the said my heirs, their heirs & Afsigns forever and I do constitute the said my eldest Son Balthaser Schultz and the said my youngest Son Gregory Schultz to be Executors of this my last Will and Testament in trust for all the Intents & purposes in this my will contained.

Be it Remembered that on the 29th day of March 1796 the foregoing Will of Anna Schultz was proved in due form of law & letters Testamentory granted unto Balthazer & Gregory Schultz Executors therein named they having first affirmed well & truly to perform the same & to render an account according to law. Anna Hoffman died on 16 January 1796 at age 84 years.1 She was buried in Washington Schwenfelder Cemetery, Hereford Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Anna's will was probated in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, on 29 March 1796.7

George Scholtze was born on 8 February 1710.1 Another source said that George Scholtze was born around Candlemas, 1710. Candlemas is the feast of the purification of the Virgin Mary, celebrated on 2 February.2 He was baptized on 9 February 1710. The sponsors were Adam Krausze, Melchior Herrmann and Regina Jäckelin.1 His name was also recorded as George Schultz.3 He fled with his parents Balthasar Scholtze and Susanna Dietrich on 27 April 1726 to Saxony.1 George Scholtze immigrated with Susanna Dietrich in 1734 to Pennsylvania.1 George Scholtze married Anna Hoffman, daughter of Rev Baltasar Hoffman and Ursula Beier, in the presence of witnesses and elders on 3 May 1737.1 George Scholtze was a farmer.3 He and Anna lived in 1737 on a farm, Upper Hanover Township, Philadelphia County, now Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.4,1,3,5 George Scholtze was a weaver in October 1748, according to the Will of Hans Bauer.4 He was named the executor under the Will of Hans Bauer on 27 October 1748.6 George Scholtze deeded 150 acres of land left to them in the Will of their father in Colebrookdale Township, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, to Michael Bauer and Abraham Bauer on 6 April 1749. He acted in his capacity as executor of the Will.7 On 10 April 1760 his name was also recorded as George Sholtz.8 George Sholtz was naturalized on 10 April 1760 before the Supreme Court, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.8,1 He was reported to have died on 21 March 17841,3. He did not, however, as his will bears a date four months later. He left a will on 30 July 1784.9 The transcript of the Will read:

Whereas the loving god hath again reminded me by this my Sicknefs of my last end, I have therefore thought I would publish my Intention in these few lines as I think it should be done with that which God has given us.. and which may yet remain if I Should die before Mother: it is therefore my Intention, that every thing we have shall be for the use of my wife Anna, as she finds it good for her nesefsity. And when Mother is also dead, then it is my Intention, that my son Baltzer fhall first have twenty pounds I say twenty pounds in money the Remainder which may be left you can divide into five equal Shares unto each brother or Sister as much as unto the other. as to the rest deal with each other according to love and Consider that we this little as well from the good and Paternal hand of God as if we had much its therefore we aweas well hearty thanks for it as well as for much. Ah my dear beloved Children I would wish you to live fo that you may find a gracious god when once your end Shall come which is along necefsary for us to seek for this earthly life ~ therefore let the grace of God be with you ~

Balthasar Scholtze was born circa 28 October 1679.2 He lived in Nieder Harpersdorf, Silesia.3 He married Susanna Dietrich, daughter of Balthasar Dietrich and Barbara (?), on 15 January 1709.4 Balthasar Scholtze and Susanna fled on 27 April 1726 from Salesia to Saxony with their children George, Gregorius, Anna, Susanna, Maria and Barbara Scholtze.3 Balthasar Scholtze died on 28 November 1726 in Herrnhut, Saxony.3 He was also reported to have died incorrectly in 1727 in Saxony, Germany.5 He was buried on 2 December 1726 in Herrnhut, Saxony.3

Susanna Dietrich was born on 13 March 1690.1 She married Balthasar Scholtze, son of Matthias Scholtze, on 15 January 1709.2 As of 15 January 1709, her married name was Scholtze.2 Susanna Dietrich and Balthasar fled on 27 April 1726 from Salesia to Saxony with their children George, Gregorius, Anna, Susanna, Maria and Barbara Scholtze.1 Susanna Dietrich immigrated in 1734 to Pennsylvania.1 She died on 23 February 1765 at age 74 years, 11 months and 10 days.1,3

Christopher Hoffman

Christopher Hoffman was born circa 1651.1 He married Ursula Anders. Christopher Hoffman and Rev Baltasar Hoffman were constituted, with Balthasar Hoffrichter, an embassy to the Court of Emperor Charles VI on 5 May 1721 in Vienna They remained at the Court for five years, till 1726, seeking a policy of tolerance toward the Schwenkfelders. They had at least 17 audiences with the Emperor, at which they presented their grievances, and informed him of their persecutions. The emperor was gracious and a perfect host. He offered a cessation of violence until further consideration, although the situation grew worse.2 Christopher Hoffman died on 14 October 1735 in Saxony.3 He was buried on 16 October 1735 with a funeral sermon.3

Ursula Anders married Christopher Hoffman. Her married name was Hoffman. Ursula Anders was ill with what she died of the evening of 28 May 1734 in a house placed at their disposal by the Van der Smissen in Altona.1 She immigrated to Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, with her sons arriving on 22 September 1734.2 She died on 27 September 1734 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.2
