Peter Christian Julius Zerakitsky was born on 9 July 1795 in Århus, Halse herred, Århus amt, Denmark.2,3 He was baptized in infancy on 9 July 1795 in home, Århus, Halse herred, Århus amt, Denmark. Mrs. Guldberg held the child at the font along with Madame Liystagger. The godfathers were Jens Bech, Asmusen the younger and Peder Larsen Smidt.4 Conflicting evidence states that Peter Christian Julius Zerakitsky was born circa 1783. This record is wrong. His baptismal record is conclusive proof for July 1795, and he is recorded as six years old in the 1801 census. The death record states that he was 49-years-old; that age would make him older than his wife, which is probably why it was given.5 Peter Christian Julius Zerakitsky was also known as Julius Serachitschy.6 He was a carpenter in 1814.7,8,3 He resided before his marriage at Middelgard, Århus, Halse herred, Århus amt, Denmark, in 1814. The name of the street can be translated as Remedy Street, or perhaps as Average or Medium street.9 He became engaged to Ane Marie Jörgensdatter on 13 October 1814.3 Peter Christian Julius Zerakitsky married Ane Marie Jörgensdatter on 16 November 1814 in Århus cathedral, Århus, Halse herred, Århus amt, Denmark.3 Peter Christian Julius Zerakitsky and Ane lived in 1822 in Fiskergade (Fisher street), Århus, Halse herred, Århus amt, Denmark.10 Peter Christian Julius Zerakitsky was a laborer in 1832.11 He died on 6 August 1832 in the charitable institution, Århus, Halse herred, Århus amt, Denmark, at age 37 years and 28 days. The record of death states he was 49 years old.11 He was buried on 9 August 1832 in the church graveyard, Århus, Halse herred, Århus amt, Denmark.11
